Welcome to Hang, Man!

It's 2020. We're done glorifying violence. It's time to hang out and let our letters fall from the sky.

For ME218A in the fall of 2020, we created a non-gruesome version of the game Hangman called Hang, Man. It's almost like a combination of Tetris and Hangman, where letters fall from the top of the screen to be caught by a user-controlled catcher as letter guesses. The unknown, ME218A-themed word is displayed with asterisks at the bottom of the screen, and the game displays letters as the correct characters are caught. Points are given when a letter is guessed and when a full word is finished, while points are deducted for each incorrect guess. The goal is to get as many points as possible in 2 minutes.

Hopefully 2021 will give us a chance to get back to the arcade, but for now, we'll give you the best taste of Hang, Man we can. Scroll down for our how-to placard, and even further down to see the game in action!
